Where Can Hospice Services Be Provided

One of the goals of hospice is to provide care wherever the patient calls home. That includes individual homes, assisted living facilities, long term care facilities, retirement communities, and inpatient units in any of the Meridian hospitals (Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center, and Riverview Medical Center).

When round-the-clock care in a medical setting is the preferred course, Meridian At Home Hospice offers a home away from home for our hospice patients on the Inpatient Care Unit of the Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Brick. This intimate facility has been specifically designed to surround hospice patients with comfort and constant companionship, and all of our inpatients receive the same superlative level of care and the full array of services available to our outpatients – they’re just a little nearer at hand, at all times.

The new Meridian Hospice Residential Center at Colts Neck Village is another alternative that provides all the advantages of an assisted living environment, plus the extra care and attention a person needs when living with a terminal condition.
